Contraindications |
Known or suspected pregnancy or as a diagnostic test for pregnancy. Active thrombophlebitis, current or history of thromboembolic disorders or cerebral vascular disease. Known or suspected malignancy of breast. Significant liver disease. Undiagnosed vag bleeding.

Special Precautions |
Loss of bone mineral density, thromboembolic disorders, breast & cervical cancer, anaphylaxis & anaphylactoid reaction, renal & hepatic impairment, convulsion, history of depression, bleeding irregularities. Wt gain, decreased glucose tolerance. Monitor patients w/ diabetes, epilepsy, migraine, asthma, cardiac dysfunction. STD. Pregnancy (including ectopic) & lactation. Elderly. Childn.

Adverse Drug Reactions |
Bleeding, amenorrhea, increased wt, headache, abdominal pain/discomfort, nervousness, dizziness, decreased libido.

Drug Interactions |
Barbiturates, bosentan, carbamazepine, felbamate, griseofulvin, oxcarbazepine, phenytoin, rifampin, St. John's wort, topiramate, HIV-protease inhibitors, non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). Aminoglutethimide.
