Indications |
1st-line treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma & for patients who received prior cytokine therapy for advanced disease.

Dosage |
Adult 800 mg once daily.

Overdosage |
View Votrient overdosage for action to be taken in the event of an overdose. |
Administration |
Should be taken on an empty stomach (Take at least 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush. Do not eat/drink grapefruit products.). |
Contraindications |
Severe hepatic impairment. Hypersensitivity to pazopanib or to any of the excipients.

Special Precautions |
Mild or moderate hepatic impairment. Close monitoring of serum liver tests. HTN, QT interval prolongation, MI, ischemic stroke, transient ischaemic attack. Haemorrhage. GI perforation or fistula. Periodic monitoring of thyroid function. Baseline & periodic monitoring of ECG & electrolytes; urinalysis. Pregnancy & in women of childbearing potential not using contraception. Lactation. Elderly ≥65 yr. Childn & adolescents <18 yr.

Adverse Drug Reactions |
Decreased appetite, dysguesia, HTN, GI disturbances, fatigue, increased ALT & AST, hair colour change.

Drug Interactions |
Ketoconazole, itraconazole, voriconazole, clarithromycin, telithromycin, atazanavir, indinavir, nefazodone, nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir, lapatinib, rifampin, caffeine, warfarin, omeprazole, midazolam, dextromethorphan, paclitaxel, rosuvastatin. Grapefruit juice, high-fat or low-fat meal.
