PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
Dietary supplementation.
Vitamins are essential for normal growth and good health and generally cannot be made by the body. They are present in foods in minute amounts. However, illness, diet, drugs, cooking and modern food processing destroy these essential vitamins and then supplementation for nutritional support is required.
Vitamin E is especially important today because it prevents oxygen from breaking down vital lipids and enzymes in the body into harmful free radicals which impair or destroy the healthy cell membranes.
Vitamin E helps when the diet is inadequate to combat exhaustion and restore vitality.
The contents of a capsule may be used on skin blemishes and scar tissue, or as a general skin tonic.
To assist the E formula, it is recommended that a multivitamin/mineral supplement, such as 21 Plus is taken, to balance any underlying deficiencies.
INDICATIONS:
Vitaforce Vitamin E tablets and capsules are indicated as a dietary supplement where a deficiency of vitamin E exists.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to vitamin E.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
E-100 i.u., E-400 i.u.: One to three capsules or tablets to be taken daily with or after meals.
E-1000 i.u.: One capsule to be taken daily with or after meals.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Vitamin E: Large doses have occasionally caused gastro-intestinal disturbances, fatigue, and weakness.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
The treatment of overdosage is symptomatic and supportive.
WARNINGS:
Persons with known high blood pressure should consult their doctor before taking any high strength vitamin E product.
