AzaSite Plus (ISV-502) is a product candidate in the AzaSite family currently under development for the treatment of conditions such as blepharitis that involve both bacterial infection and inflammation. Blepharitis, which affects tens of millions of people worldwide, causes symptoms such as redness, irritation, and scaly skin at the edges of the eyelids. AzaSite Plus is a fixed-dose combination of an antibiotic (1.0% azithromycin) and an anti-inflammatory steroid (0.1% dexamethasone). AzaSite Plus is formulated with our DuraSite® drug delivery technology.

Indications for AZASITE:
Susceptible bacterial conjunctivitis.
Adults and Children's Dose:
<1yr: not recommended. ≥1yr: 1 drop in affected eye(s) twice daily (8–12hrs apart) for 2 days then once daily for the next 5 days.
Pharmacological Class:
Macrolide.
Warnings/Precautions:
Remove contact lenses during therapy. Pregnancy (Cat.B). Nursing mothers.
Adverse Reactions:
Eye irritation, superinfection; rare: contact dermatitis, corneal erosion, dysgeusia, dry eye, punctate keratitis, others.
